Blood Brothers by Susan Arden5/20/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() (Oops, insert spoiler alert before the previous sentence.) So then Arden goes on to describe the gruesome death he would like to inflict on Mosby – basically tear him limb from limb with said limbs on the bed he thinks to defile (40) while on the floor pants his weary body (42) in a pool of his lustful blood (43). ![]() Only, in this case, everybody is out to get him. Franklin says, no way, no nobleman would hire a creepazoid like that but Arden says, well, yeah, actually, Mosby works for Lord Clifford, he that loves not me (32) … so we already have the idea that Arden is a bit of a whiner and everybody is out to get him. To wit, Mosby is a botcher (25) who has finagled his way into the service of a nobleman and now goes strutting around town in his steward outfit being all better than everybody else. ![]() This gets Franklin’s attention – and provides an opportunity for Arden to describe Mosby to the audience. Franklin counters by suggesting that, well, that is the kind of shit women do but Arden counter-counters by exclaiming about how monstrous (23) this Mosby guy is. Franklin chides Arden for being such a gloomy-ass because, after all, he (Arden) has recently acquired All the lands of the Abbey of Faversham (5) but Arden is all whatever, I wish I were dead because my wife is creeping around with Mosby and, WTF, I even saw Mosby wearing her wedding ring the other day. Enter Arden and his home skillet Franklin talking. ![]()
